The short answer is nobody really knows. It is my contention that on balance the presence of an anklet indicates a woman has a high libido. This would actually need a study conducted in order to answer the questions what does wearing an anklet mean.

As has been mentioned elsewhere there is some thought that women in the swinging lifestyle indicate a preference for sexual partners based on which anklet she wear’s the anklet but there is no literature or data to support this view.

It would appear that I am not alone in believing that the wearing of anklets have sexual connotations. The folks over at answers.com seem to think that it refers to the availability of women who are in the swinging lifestyle. For swingers an anklet can be used to signify a woman’s availability. This is not a hard and fast rule but it is one meaning associated with wearing an anklet.

It is our contention that women that wear an anklet have a higher than average libido. We have no idea why the two are connect but it appears to be the case.
